Thanksgiving Vacation

Most people in America probably spent last week with their extended families, cooking delicious food, watching parades, and playing football. However, my mother and I had other plans in mind. This Thanksgiving break, we decided to fly to Cancun, Mexico and stay on an all-inclusive resort in Riviera Maya. I brought my Canon Powershot SX50 with the hopes of capturing all of the best moments. The experience was wonderful; we met some really interesting people we would not have otherwise met. I played volleyball with a family from London, England. I met a couple from Florida and another from New York. We practiced our Spanish speaking skills with the locals, ate amazing Mexican dishes, and sipped a lot of mojitos! The resort was fabulous, full of beautiful wildlife and lush greenery. The iguanas are elusive, mysterious, and fascinating. The coatimundi, or Mexican raccoons, are adorable and incredibly shy. I managed to get a few pictures of one. The birds are bold and loud, swooping down from the rooftops to try to steal food off of your plates. I had the best vacation over Thanksgiving break, and even though I did not spend it surrounded by friends and family, I can still say it was a pleasure.

Below, I have posted a link to my uploaded You-tube video featuring a compilation of pictures and videos from my trip.
